Study Table Guidelines
The study table week runs from Sunday to Friday. You are responsible for getting your required hours in during this time.
The Following are the study table guidelines for the 2004-2005 academic school year:
- Study table is a time for student-athletes to study. It is your responsibility to assure that the environment is conductive to studying. If you do not come prepared to study or are disruptive, you will be asked to leave. Your coach will inform you how many ours you must spend per week at study table.
- You MUST check in with the monitor downstairs in the Burbidge Center when you arrive and check out when you leave study table to receive credit for hours. If a monitor is not available, check in with an academic advisor or the intern upstairs of the Burbidge Center.
- When checking into study table you MUST bring study material and show the study hall monitor what you are going to be working on.
- Student-athletes cannot check into study table, then go to the University library to do research. However, you may check in and use the computers to do online research using either the University library online catalog, or the Internet.
- Student athletes may meet with a tutor during study table hours. However, you must use on of the one-on-one rooms or group tutor rooms so you do not disturb the other students.
- Use of Instant Messenger programs such as AOL Instant Messenger or MSN Messenger IS NOT ALLOWED. If you are caught using them while checked into Study Table, you will be asked to leave.
